Salvation in the Desert
April 2020: This is what is left of the western end of El Camino del Diablo, a 250 mile long route first traveled over 1,000 years ago by natives, then used as a route by early Spaniards between northern Mexican states and California. The road still exists today, beginning near Ajo, Arizona and ending here, and it's appearance is largely unchanged since the time it was first used. Truly, the pinnacle of dirt roads, in the middle of nowhere.
